This Chapter participates in a wide range of events from feeding the homeless to many walks within the community. The major event for the Chapter each year was created by one Brother in honor of her aunt that had ovarian cancer. It is called the T.E.A.L. (Tell Every Amazing Lady about ovarian cancer) This event has grown tremendously over just 2 years. It is one of only 6 cities in the country that have started this event. The first T.E.AL. walk in 2014 had 59 participants and raised $1800 for ovarian cancer research. The second annual T.EA.L. walk in 2015 had 179 participants and raised $11,000. The event for this year is set for September 24, 2016 and their fundraising goal is $12,000. This event is growing exponentially to reach many women in the low country area and educate them on ovarian cancer.
